Bonus Activity:SLJ Paying it Forward
In the mid-1930s, things began to change for the better in New Zealand. More
people were able to find work and receive a steady paycheck. They were still
careful, however, with their money and rarely, if ever, bought treats or gifts for
one another.

Imagine that you were able to travel back in time to visit a family in the 1930s.
What special gifts or treats would you like to bring with you? I would likely
bring blocks of Whittaker’s chocolate, bags of Jet Planes and Pineapple
Lumps, healthy food snacks, clothing, and games for the children. What about
you?





If i could travel back in time I would give them a house,furniture,water,food and toys so they could make another chance to make a living and they could get a job. Also they could buy cutlery. With their own money or if it was just a child, I would adopt them and make a living for kids and make them healthy.So there's my opinion.

Maui and the sun

A long time ago in Aotearoa/New zealand  there was a brave handsome moari man.He lived in a maori village.Maui had heaps of brothers

Maui and his brothers would always go and hunt for fish in the ocean for a living they were great hunters and fisherman.When they caught fish they shared it with there family or their whole village.However Maui and his brothers had a big problem.

The problem was that the sun was moving too fast. Maui and his brothers did not get enough time to fish or hunt in the day also there was not enough food for the village.This made Maui and the people VERY MAD, sad and hungry.

Maui had a interesting plan to solve the problem.

Maui called a meeting with his brothers.He told them we need to get hold of flax ropes so that we will tech the sun a lesson.We will catch the sun,tie it with flax ropes and beat it up.We will get up early in the morning and go and search for the sun.The next morning Maui and his brothers woke up early and searched for the sun,so they walked and walked to the end of the earth.eventaully  found the rise of the sun.maui said to his brothers when the sun gets closer throw the flax ropes over the sun.When they put the flax ropes over the sun they pulled it tighter the sun began to cry like a baby.Then they question the sun why were you going to fast across the sun. You need to slow down for us to hunt and fish.
